"Fabulous historic hotel with some truly wonderful and giving staff. From the “bellhops”, bar and restaurant staff to the concierge nothing was too much trouble for them. Balcony room looking over the pool quite small for two with luggage, but it is an old building. Only letdown were a couple of miserable receptionists on our last day. Rude, unhelpful and obviously did not want to be there. Everything seemed like a bother to these particular two, spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored...

"Lovely spot! I was there mid week through the weekend. Mid week it was wonderfully quiet, not a peep. Other guests can be noisy on weekends, coming back late, sfter drinking. Place is squeaky clean. Bed was quite comfortable, firm, didn't sag like so many do. The staff are all warm, gracious, helpful - someone is available at all hours. No dining room but so many places close by to choose from. Good wifi, a desk - was able to work when needed. There's a coffee shop next door but best one is 2...

"I enjoyed my stay but unfortunately the housekeeping was subpar. They never vacuumed the floors including the bathroom and I even questioned if they changed the bedding or simply tucked the sheets in. This was a ten day stay.Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful at the front desk,the doormen and the hotel restaurant and bar."
