"This is a very economical but charming place to stay. It has more of an Airbnb feel to it. The setting is quite wonderful. I think for it to be convenient it helped a lot to have a vehicle. "This was booked last minute due to a last minute cancellation for another property. Beautiful property especially for the earthy type of individual. It was perfect for my needs however I don’t see people staying here that require more of an upscale type of setting. Leaving the room to use the community restroom is probably the only thing that was not too thrilling. All in all it fulfilled my expectations."

"First, this property is cool if you know what you are getting into. This is way off the off the grid living. You are staying on a lava field in a shipping container. That is the cool part. It is remote, and just wow for sunset and sunrise. The host, Ron, was nice and communicated well. The location on VRBO makes it appear on Chain of Craters road just near the famed sea arch in Volcanoes National park - a big reason we picked it. "They have roaches. I don't recommend staying there. I stayed for one night there the roaches crawling on me. Canceled the the rest of the stay and they refuse to refund my money. And not to metion there is mold in the tub and cobb webs behind the bed. Don't waste your time and money."

"The property was as advertised, beautiful decor and many amenities plus awesome balconies to sit and watch the sunset. Only issue was the hallway to the unit which had a musty smell but using the service elevator was a way around the smell even though the service elevator had very dirty carpet."
