I have stayed at many properties in the Orlando area as I am a Tampa Bay resident and we like to use the Orlando area for quick getaways.
That being said, I know how these hotels/condominium complexes operate. Even though we are using it as just a small apartment for the weekend, they use every opportunity to try to get you into a sales pitch to buy their timeshare
When we arrived, my wife and I checked in and were told that we needed to go to the concierge to get our parking pass. This is their way of trying to have one of their sales people hook you into their pitch. I knew what was happening because there is no reason that the person that text you in at the front desk cannot give you a parking pass.
I rolled my eyes, and obliged their request. I went over to the desk, and there was a woman there that started Attempting to talk us. I followed along In order to be polite, but then she started asking our dates of birth in more intrusive questions and I knew exactly what she was up to.
I told her that I was running late for dinner and that I had to meet people. I told her I just needed the parking passes and needed to move on. At that point she got extremely quick and rude with us.
Needless to say, I received my parking passes and never walked into the front reception room ever again. I had no need to nor would I because of the rudeness that my wife, my kids and I received. It was totally unnecessary.
We will not be back.
