"The property is pretty and convenient to a beach. The room and the property itself was clean. The share shelves were a nice touch. The facility is very primitive, meaning there is NO A/C, no staff onsite and no housekeeping. None of these things are bad if it's what you're expecting; however, this listing on Expedia does not mention any of these things, so it was a great disappointment to arrive and find out about the lack of AC and housekeeping. "This was our second time staying at the Kona Castle Reef . This oceanfront unit was comfortable, tidy and an excellent layout. Some of the lighting fixtures seemed dated and Could use replacement . Having the bbq’s there as an alternative cooking option was fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again next year and hopefully secure the same unit as we did this time ."
