We offer a one-day tour to one of the most beautiful and attractive regions of Georgia. Kakheti is located in the east of Georgia and is the homeland of wine. Yes, wine was invented here 8000 years ago, which today is the most popular drink in all corners of the earth. We will visit the village of Badiauri where we will taste traditional Georgian Shoti bread and 3 types of cheese such as cow cheese, goat and sheep cheese. We will stop at the village of Mzgigul with local farmers and taste 3 types of home-made wine and traditional sweets. Our next stop will be in the village of Bodbe where we will visit the 4th century church in which Saint Nino, the bringer of Christianity to SakArtvelo, is buried. The Bodbe monastery complex offers beautiful views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains. From Bodbe Monastery we will go to the city of Sighnaghi which is very similar to the Italian city of Tuscany. We will walk on foot through the central streets of the city for about 1.20 hours and then we will go to Telavi, the capital of the Kakheti region. In Telavi we will see a 900-year-old chadra tree which has witnessed the change of eras, its diameter is 12 metres. Then we will stop at a restaurant for dinner and taste 4 types of delicious wine made according to 8000-year-old traditions. At the end of the tour we will return to Tbilisi via the Gombori pass with beautiful views, where we will pass by to the maximum height of 1750 metres above sea level and if we are lucky we will also see a beautiful sunset.
