Day 1

Join us as we take a trip to Virginia! We will discover from the outside view of the Pentagon, the US Department of Defence. In front of the Pentagon, it’s the National 911 Pentagon Memorial. Then, we will head to George Washington’s Mount Vernon. In the afternoon, we will drive to the Old Town Alexandria for free activities. The atmosphere of the old city is quite different from that of Washington, DC. In the old town, you can enjoy the sunshine, vibrant colours, street music, and unique foods.

The Pentagon

The Pentagon is the headquarters building of the United States Department of Defence. Located in Arlington County, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., the building was designed by American architect George Bergstrom and built by contractor John McShain. The Pentagon is the world's largest office building and has five sides, five floors above ground, two basement levels, and five ring corridors per floor. The Pentagon is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.

George Washington's Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon is the former home of George Washington. George Washington was a revolutionary war hero, Founding Father, and the first president of the United States.
