What you can expect

Head out on a moving journey through Prague's historic Jewish Quarter, Josefov, on streets that date back as far as the 10th century. Explore the rich history of what was once one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe, famous for the tale of Rabbi Loew and the Golem.

Josefov bore witness to the history of Prague's Jewish population, all but eliminated by the Nazis during the years of German occupation. Explore its intricate alleys which inspired Franz Kafka to write many of his stories when he lived here with his sister in 22 Zlatá ulicka (Golden Lane).

Your knowledgeable guide reveals the history and tales of the district, best known for the legend of Rabbi Loew and the Golem, a powerful creature he created out of clay to protect Prague's Jews from anti-Semitic attacks during the 16th century.

Spend the latter part of your tour wandering through the intertwining pathways of the Old Jewish Cemetery, and gain entry into 3 of the most historically significant synagogues in the area before stopping in a traditional local café for a relaxing drink.
