Activity itinerary

St Francis de Assisi Church
  • 45m
  • Admission ticket included
The National Historical Institute marker plastered on the church wall, teaches me that the parish was founded in 1783. That makes this the oldest church, convent and bell tower on Siquijor Island. The start of the very first, new parish on the island of Siquijor, which was soon to be divided into smaller parishes across the island during the Spanish reign. The church used to have a nipa roof which has now been converted into a tin one. Behind the simple and facade of the church you will find the basic cruciform plan of the modest church. Do not be fooled by the looks of this church, it seems pretty small but once inside you notice it is a big church. The décor inside is very minimal, mostly white ceiling with old antique lamps hanging, some religious icons and the original yellow floor tiles give this church a special combination of soberness and almost a rural charm.
Siquijor Boulevard
  • 45m

Boulevard Siquijor,,, nice for unwind, having a cold drinks, eating barbecue sticks while chilling.. But just a reminder NO SMOKING strictly forbidden here in this area,,keep liking and follow Siquijor Island page.
Capilay Spring Park
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Located at the heart of San Juan town, Capilay Spring Park is among the well-known natural spring parks in Siquijor. It is a flowing spring. The water comes from the mountains and from the pool, it flows to a small river where locals wash their clothes. Mostly, tourists just take pictures here and some wants to enjoy the spring water. This place is also good if you want to relax in a hot afternoon. The park also has a restaurant where you can dine with friends or just chill alone. Also. It has a mini playground where children can enjoy playing. During afternoons, locals and tourists are found roaming around because Capilay brings people relaxation.
Tubod Beach
  • 1h
Siquijor’s magic lies in its beautiful attractions; one of the places of interest is Tubod Beach. It has everything you are looking for in a tropical destination — powdery white sand, dancing coconut trees, waters that are clear as glass, and shimmers in various shades of blue. It is the ideal place to relax, unwind, and just have a good time far from the stress of city life. Tubod Beach is the perfect place to just lie down on the fine, white sand and relax. The waters are calm, glass-like and ideal for wading or swimming. There are spots where you can go snorkelling. There are also scuba diving rentals in the vicimity. Keep memories of your time here by taking several pictures of the beautiful beachscape. Tubod is also a good place to watch the sunset.
Lugnason Falls
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Lugnason Falls in Siquijor is one of the island’s favourite waterfalls and a must tourist spot to add on your Siquijor itinerary. Hidden away in tropical jungle, Lugnason Falls is an adventurous spot to explore while in Siquijor. A tarzan swing hangs from the trees above and you can actually cliff jump from on the cascade into a deep milky blue pool. What makes Lugnason Falls more interesting is that you just have to be here at the right time since it isn’t a year round tourist spot.
Old Enchanted Balete Tree
  • 2h
  • Admission ticket included
One of the famously known Balete tree in the Philippines can be found in Siquijor. Since Siquijor is known for its witchcraft and faith healing, it is no wonder that the Old Balete tree is featured among the different travel destination. Located in the barangay of Campalanas in Lazi, this 400-year-old Balete is considered as the oldest and the biggest in the province of Siquijor. What makes it really mystical is that a natural spring flows right underneath the tress. Locals do not know where and why water flows but all they know is that it is clean and safe. The cold spring water flows from the tree to the man-made pool where fishes swim around. If one finds the need for a quick foot spa, just dip your feet directly in and the fish doctors will nibble around your feet for unwanted skin. This tourist destination is free and is open to all, however, all are encouraged to donate for the maintenance of the place.
Lazi Convent
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
The Lazi Convent is located in the town of Lazi, southern edge of Siquijor. The Lazi Convent, along with the San Isidro Labrador Church, plays an important role in the religious and historical beliefs to the people in Siquijor. The convent was built under the supervision of an Augustinian Recollect Ministry named Father Toribio Sánchez back in 1884. The ground floor of the convent is made of coral stones while the second floor is made of hard wood with a timber and iron framework. Measuring to 42 metres by 38 metres, the Lazi Convent is said to be the biggest and the oldest convent in Asia. The construction was completed in 1891.
Cambugahay Falls
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Cambugahay Falls is one of my most favourite places in Siquijor. It is one of the many precious waterfalls in the Island wherein a large number of tourist enjoys its fascinating atmosphere. Even locals within the island, enjoy spending their time in the mystical waterfall together with their family and friends. Cambugahay Falls can be reached via 135 steps going down. Cambugahay Falls is a 3-tiered waterfall. with crisp and clean warm water originating from natural springs. Water from the Cambugahay Falls flows down about three kilometres downstream making numerous wonderful swimming lagoons before it discharges into the Lazi Bay. At the first level, you will see one feature of the place which was an improvised swing. The locals called it the “Tarzan swing” and you could use it for free. In that location, you will find some locals assisting people to do the swing, hence it won’t actually hurt if you give a few bucks to these guys for their endeavour.
Kagusuan Beach
  • 1h
Siquijor is probably one of the lesser popular islands to go to for travel. In the Central Visayas region, Cebu and Bohol would be more frequented but it still boasts of white sand beaches and seas teeming with marine life. Siquijor is a very small island and in fact, it is the third smallest after Camiguin and Batanes, and it only has a total of 6 towns. Maria is one of these towns and here you will find a white sand stretch they call Kagusuan Beach. It has probably gained a bit more attention since it has been placed on the tourist map but it remained deserted when we were there and is just a pure white sand bliss! Most travellers amongst you have probably experienced the moment you reach the summit of a mountain or a top of a lighthouse and the view just blows you away. That's exactly the same feeling I had when we walked down the steep stairs and when we reached the bottom, I was definitely blown away by its beauty.
