What you can expect

Join an experienced and friendly local guide for a tour of some of Singapore's finest local street food spots. Sample a variety of authentic Malaysian cuisine, guaranteed to surprise and delight.

First, stop in at a small shop to try Singapore's most famous dish: bak kwa, a salty-sweet dried pork. Then sample a favourite local snack: a curry puff. Continue on to visit a traditional Singaporean coffee shop to taste your choice of local milk tea or coffee, served with a slice of kaya toast – beloved throughout the region. Make your way to a covered market called a “hawker centre,” where you'll sample the variety of foods on offer and learn what makes these dishes so popular. Your guide will select the best bites for you to try, including chicken rice.

Then visit the lovely Buddha Tooth Relic Temple before turning onto the food street to taste local dishes like fried carrot cake, Indian prata paired with curry sauce, and Singapore fried prawn noodles served with a can of Singapore Tiger Beer. Your time in the Chinatown food street will end with a special surprise – a signature local dessert that can't be missed.
