Leave Baltimore and head north to the Big Apple. Take a day trip by rail, enjoying a variety of sightseeing, dining, and shopping. Utilise a double-deck bus to see the city's most important sites, and enjoy lunch at Hard Rock Café.
Travel from Penn Station in Baltimore to Penn Station in New York, relaxing aboard an Amtrak train, taking the time to watch a film, read a book, or take a nap. Once you arrive, it's just a few blocks to board the double-decker bus, embarking on a hop-on hop-off tour of New York and Brooklyn.
Each stop provides an opportunity for something interesting to check out. Enjoy seeing the Empire State Building, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, and Battery Park with views of the Statue of Liberty. Pop into one of the many museums, observatories, theatres, zoos, or boat rides for some fun in the city.
Enjoy seeing the WWII aircraft carrier Intrepid, and its new space shuttle exhibits. See the new One World Trade Centre Observatory and stop at the 9/11 Memorial Pool. With a quick walk from there, go to the American Indian Museum and Fraunces Tavern, which served as George Washington's headquarters during the Revolutionary War. Stop in front of the Stock Exchange—across the street is the historic Federal Hall, made a Customs house in 1842 but earlier serving as the site for George Washington's inauguration.
In the midst of your adventure, stop for a 3-course lunch at Hard Rock Café. From Times Square it's only a few blocks to the original Macy's flagship. It's only 3 blocks from there back to Pennsylvania Station for the return trip to Baltimore.
