What you can expect

Find rolling hills shrouded in mist, listen to stories of Scottish legends and heroes, and uncover the secrets tucked away in the the Scottish Highlands. On this full-day guided tour, explore the region's acclaimed National Parks, pass by massive historic castles, and scan the waters of Loch Ness for its famed and elusive sea monster.

Begin your tour with a scenic drive towards the Highlands, passing by Stirling's castle and the Wallace Monument. Hear about the 13th-century hero the monument is dedicated to and then continue to the moody Pass of Glencoe. Stop for photos and listen to stories about the tragic massacre that took place here in 1692.

After crossing Loch Leven at Ballachulish, we have a lunchtime stop near the Fort William area before following the course of the Caledonian Canal up the Great Glen to Fort Augustus and on to Loch Ness. Here you can cruise on the loch for an hour or so on the award winning Cruise Loch Ness, or enjoy the scenery of the tranquil little village on the banks of the Loch. Please note, this part of the tour is an optional extra.

Descend through Atholl Forest to catch views of the iconic Blair Castle, go for a walk in the Victorian Town of Pitlochry, and then head back to Edinburgh, passing over the Forth Bridge on the way.
