In the morning you meet your walking guide at the San Sebastian bus station. Get into the car, relax and enjoy the views as we head to the Garajonay National Park.
We will stop at some stunning view points on our way to the starting point of the hike and enjoy fantastic views before entering the National Park. Under a dense crown of huge trees we will cross the ancient laurel forest with its exuberant vegetation following the course of a stream until we reach a picturesque village. Here the forest opens up and suddenly we have spectacular views towards the valley. On the way, our local guide shows us unique species growing only in Garajonay National Park, we hear how locals used the forest in the past but also that witches go around and play tricks on the hikers.
We will walk back downhill through an area of laurel forest full of mosses and lichens and return to San Sebastián along the northern road that allows us to enjoy views of the northern ravines of La Gomera.
