This tour that unites three incredible natural and cultural jewels of Montenegro begins with a visit to the Skadar Lake National Park that is situated just 25 km away from Podgorica. Skdar lake is the largest lake in the Balkans, the area proclaimed a national park, enlisted as Ramsar wetland of international importance, famous for its birds (about 270 species), fish, water lilies, rich cultural heritage, charming villages and the best Montenegrin wine. We will be driving around the lake, have a short walk in the charming settlement called Virpazar and enjoy the view from amazing viewpoints.
Our next stop will be next to Saint Stefan island that is home to the most famous Montenegrin hotel resort and it is the one of the world’s most unique places. There is a great history behind this island and a long list of interesting people who spent their holidays inside its walls. We will enjoy walking through the nice park in the close vicinity of the St. Stefan island and discovering some of the most beautiful beaches of Budva Riviera.
Finaly the last stop on this tour is reserved for the real gem of Montenegrin coast, the pearl of Venetian architecture- Old town of Kotor. Owing to its cultural value and the way it melts with the landscape it is listed as UNESCO world cultural heritage site.
Itinerary:
- 9 a.m. - a pick up at your place of stay
- After about half an hour of driving, we will reach small charming town of Virpazar and have a short walk in the town. After walk we will continue to enjoy spectacular panoramic views on two sides of the lake.
- Around 11 o'clock we will reach Sveti Stefan, where we will enjoy the view of the unique island, now a hotel, and a walk through the beautiful Miločer park.
- Around 1:00 in the afternoon we will arrive in Kotor and spend the next few hours exploring the beauty of the old town and possibly having lunch in one of the good Kotor restaurants
- Between 5-6 we will drop you off at your hotel
