The local chef and family member of the Tra Que Water Wheel restaurant will pick you up at the hotel by bicycle, motorbike, or car (as you wish). Experience cycling for about 20 minutes through the lovely rice fields, this is a great opportunity to breathe the fresh air of the countryside and admire the farms of cows, ducks, buffaloes…

Upon arrival, explore an over 300-year-old vegetable village that grows more than 30 types of herbs using manual methods. You will feel like you are lost in a dream with the peaceful, quiet, green, fragrant vegetable fields, without the noise of vehicles and machinery. Tra Que is a saved heritage by the government and a unique fertile land at the river. Learn about traditional ingredients and spices used in people's daily meals. Join the preparing of the land and the fertlising with seaweed from the lake nearby. Learn how to rake the ground with traditional tools, to sow new seeds, to water the young plants and to pick herbs for your lunch afterwards.

Then it gets exiting. Learn to ride a waterbuffalo, the local and absolutely beautiful animal. And try to row a basketboat between the coconut palm tree.
Following the local chef, you will have a lunch menu. You will learn about the local cuisine, while you cooking by yourselfe. For the lunch, we will add even more.

After you have accomplished a lot and had a good meal, you can let your thougths wander while cycling back to the rushing heart of Hoi An. When you arrive back at your hotel, you will have wonderful memories in your heart and amazing pictures on your camera that you won´t forget this day.
