What you can expect

Portugal is known for its wine and beautiful landscapes—and this tour gives you both. As you drive through the countryside, your guide explains to you the history of Portuguese wine. Visit the oldest winery in the country, a family-owned winery, and the famous JMF winery on this full-day tour.

Cross Vasco de Gama, the longest bridge in Europe, on your way to 2 of Arrábida's finest vineyards. Upon reaching the Castle of Palmela, you get the chance to climb its tower for an amazing photo opportunity of the surrounding mountains.

Your drive continues through the Arrábida wine region, passing vineyards, cork trees, and olive plantations. Then you visit a local family-owned wine farm located in the heart of the Arrábida Park, where you have time to taste 4 locally produced wines. Take photos from the highest point of the park with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoy lunch at the picturesque fishing village Sesimbra and relax at the sandy beach. After lunch join a guided tour (2 wine tastings included) to the Casa Museu José Maria da Fonseca (JMF) winery, the oldest wine producer in Portugal.

On your return trip make a stop at the Cristo Rei (Christ the King) statue and absorb the views of the city hills in front of you. Return to the capital via the 25 de Abril Bridge over the Tagus River.
