Day 1: Road Trip to El Alamein World War II Military Museum and Siwa Oasis
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel. As you embark on your journey, you can rest or witness the beautiful sunrise, enjoying the stunning views of the mountains on both sides of the road.
Your first stop is El Alamein, where you’ll visit the historic World War II Battlefield. This was the site of a confrontation between Allied and Axis forces, where Italians and Germans fought against the British. You'll also visit the military cemetery and commemorations for those who fought and lost their lives on this sacred ground.
Continue your journey towards the Siwa Oasis. Upon arrival, swim and relax while floating in the beautiful natural waters, admiring the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. Experience a beautiful sunset and take pictures of Siwa at Fatnas Island while sipping on the famous Siwa Tea. Later, check-in for an overnight stay at the Oasis Lodge.
Day 2: Mountain of the Dead, Cleopatra’s Spring, and Siwa Desert
Start your day with a traditional Siwan breakfast before heading to the Mountain of the Dead. This fascinating site offers a unique blend of life and death, with views of lush green palm trees at the top and ancient tombs inside the mountain.
Next, set off for a thrilling 4x4 dune ride through the Siwa desert and refreshingly swim in the famous Siwa salt lakes. You’ll also visit Cleopatra’s Spring, a natural stone pool with crystal-clear water. Relax with fresh fruit juice while admiring the stunning palm oasis around you.
After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, head further into the desert to explore hot springs and cold lakes. Experience the excitement of a dune drive across the Siwa Great Sand Sea and witness an unforgettable sunset. You’ll also have the option to try sandboarding on the highest dune, followed by enjoying Siwan tea and nuts. Wrap up the day with a delicious BBQ dinner at your lodge before retiring to your tent or room for the night.
Day 3: Shali City and Siwa Old Souq
On your final day, enjoy another traditional Siwan breakfast before exploring Shali City, an ancient town built with “karshef,” a typical Siwan construction material consisting of salt and clay.
Before you leave Siwa, wander through the Old Souq, later you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
