In the heart of Castelo Branco, where stories echo through the streets, our journey begins at our office, in the Nuno Álvares Shopping Centre, right in front of the Tourist Office.
From there, we'll embark on a memorable walking tour around the city.
During our tour, we walk through ancient streets, passing through the 16th-century Stone Doors, which portray a bygone era where stories of value and commerce converge in a timeless embrace.
We climb to the highest point in the city, where you can visit the Castle and marvel at a 360º view over the city.
We will talk about the history of the Templar Knights, the French invasions in the 19th century, the Jewish presence in the region and the city's acclaimed embroidery, “O Bordado de Castelo Branco”.
As we advance, we will contemplate Chapels, the majestic Sé Cathedral Church and the welcoming city park that reveal at every moment the charm of Castelo Branco in a symphony of landscapes and stories.
Along the tour we pass by the Interpretation Centre of Castelo Branco Embroidery, Museu Mestre Cargaleiro, Jewish Museum and the City Garden, we´ll be happy to guide you in the visit of two of them, but thats something you can decide on the day with your guide (tickets are not included).
Return to the meeting point.
