Venture south of Kos by boat to discover Nisyros. Explore the fascinating crater of Nisyros, and then enjoy some free time for lunch.

Get picked up from your hotel in Kos and head to the waterfront to step aboard a boat and set sail in the direction of Nisyros. This tiny island was formed by successive volcanic eruptions, which took place more than 160,000 years ago. Venture towards the island's interior to admire the striking volcanic valley at the heart of the island—with it's 2.5-mile (4-km) diameter, it's Europe's largest caldera.

From the volcano, spend a free hour browsing the shops or visiting the monastery in Mandriki. Relax over a delicious barbecue lunch, while away the afternoon swimming and sunbathing on the pristine beaches, and then hop back on the boat to return to Kos.
