What you can expect

Experience the spectacular beauty of 2 iconic Southwest landmarks on this guided expedition. First, venture into Antelope Canyon, 1 of the world's best-known slot canyons, and then take a short hike to survey the incredible Horseshoe Bend.

Get picked up from your Flagstaff hotel and sit back for a scenic drive through the northern Arizona desert to Antelope Canyon. Carved by erosion of Navajo sandstone, this slot canyon's smooth, flowing rock formations are a photographer's dream. Enter the canyon from ground level, and then walk along its narrow, winding channel with your knowledgeable guide leading the way.

After exploring the canyon, hike a short, easy trail to the lookout over Horseshoe Bend, another amazing example of the power of water over rock. From a breathtaking height of 4200 feet (1280 m) above sea level, marvel at the distinct, horseshoe-shaped meander of the mighty Colorado River, and gaze down upon the grandeur of the sheer cliff walls. After plenty of time to take photos and admire the views, catch your ride back to Flagstaff.

Francesca was our guide for the tour and she was full of knowledge and fun tid bits to keep our drive entertaining. She got the whole group involved in talking and we all learned some new information from each other. We got lucky with the tours and crowds which were very limited and it was a nice cool day.

PJ was a great guide who was incredibly knowledgeable. He made the trip very enjoyable pointing out little details like the fossilized dinosaur footprints outside the Cameron Trading Post. The sites were beautiful and even though we wished we could have spent more time in Antelope Canyon, the length of the trip to each location was sufficient. It was nice having everything planned and to just show up to the sites. Thanks PJ for a great visit and fantastic recommendations.

This was one of the best trips - EVER! We started with Horseshoe Bend, had plenty of time to walk in, take 100's of pictures and get back in plenty of time to the next stop. That stop was the Glen Dam at a very cool spot and more pictures ensued (of course). Next was a nice lunch spot where we got ready to head into Antelope Canyon - a bucket list item for me. Lower Antelope Canyon is ... AMAZING! I could come up with a bunch of great words to explain it - but it was otherworldly! I should have started with this - ASK FOR MILTON! He was an awesome tour guide and on top of the normal touristy conversation we got an incredible history of the Navajo nation and some very personal stories as well. On the way back we listened to new age flute music - that he wrote and played! The Grand Canyon is majestic - but do yourself a favor and take this tour - you will not regret it
