The town looks depressed and the staff in stores were very unhelpful although we got very good directions from a police officer on foot who surprisingly spoke passable English.

While El Palmar might not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Murcia City Hall and Plaza Cardenal Belluga.
