Vancouver, British Columbia
Vancouver -is on unceded Coast Salish territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh people.
I have lived in Vancouver for the past 8 years. Staycations have been my go-to anytime I need to refresh, refocus or recalibrate. Vancouver has the best of both worlds - the land, the ocean and the mountains, and the city. Whether you’re riding your bike around the seawall, tanning at the beach or indulging in the vast options for food - there is something for everyone. Which is why I picked the Loden Hotel and the Wedgewood.
The Loden Hotel is located in downtown Vancouver and is the perfect spot if you’re looking to explore the city or nature itself. The hotel offers complimentary bikes, a yoga mat in your room, fitness studio, treats for yourself and for your pet, and you can choose to stay more luxuriously in their penthouse or connect to your environment through their garden suite. Having the two options depending on my mood - is essential for me!
The Wedgewood Hotel & Spa is a 3-minute walk from Vancouver Art Gallery. As soon as you walk outside the options are endless for shopping, eating, and/or exploring. Not only is the location perfect but the hotel itself is. Intertwined with elegance and romance - this is the perfect spot to stay to treat yourself and/or with your loved one. Don’t forget to indulge in the hotel’s very own spa.
Montreal, Quebec
Montreal (Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal) is situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehà:ka, a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst many First Nations including the Kanien'kehá:ka of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg.
If there is one thing I love, it is a hotel that tells a story. Just upon arriving at Le Mount Stephen - you can feel the stories that live within these walls. Surrounded by beautiful architecture, scenery and ambiance. You’re immediately welcomed by excellent service and people. It is the perfect place to meet friends for a delicious dinner. Don’t forget to explore the older side of the building!
Old Port is my favourite part about Montreal. Hotel Gault is the cherry on top of this destination. The rooms are spacious with tall ceilings, brick walls, and authentic decor. You can choose between a suite or an entire apartment. Adaptable to your needs and to your schedule. Heated floors, a library, high speed internet, espresso machine - you will have to remind yourself to leave.
Plan your next great escape
