This house has so much historic old home charm, and had plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids to spread out. We loved the big front yard where the kids could throw the football (with a big front porch for sitting), the screened in porch in the back with a table and 4 chairs for the kids to eat dinner without worrying about bugs, and the large central dining table for all of us to enjoy a Saturday night steak dinner! There were multiple "living rooms" for people to hang out in, and the kitchen was so enormous we never felt cramped, even when all of us were cooking (and some snacking!) in there at one time. As other reviewers mentioned, there is no AC downstairs but this didn't prove to be an issue for us (in early October), and there are screen doors on both ends of the downstairs for a nice cross-breeze. We were disappointed to find out (after hearing that there was a fire pit we could use) that it was totally overgrown and full of plants and debris, located in full-sun in the afternoon, and with no chairs nearby (we could have brought some from the porch I guess?). We thought about cleaning it out to use, but in the end did not use the firepit... which was a bummer because the kids were really looking forward to that part. Otherwise, it was a completely lovely place to stay, and spotlessly clean! We'd stay here again for sure.
