About Our Cabin:
Come enjoy real log cabin life right on the Trinity River! Let the sound of the river serenade your stay during all four seasons. Stay cool in the summer with a dip in the water or cozy up to the fireplace in winter. Backyard access to the river for river play and plenty of parking space for a boat to go to Trinity Lake just ten minutes away. Otherwise close to fishing, swimming, hiking, mushroom hunting and snowshoeing, among everything else the Shasta-Trinity Forest and the Trinity River have to offer.
The space inside has two cozy rooms each outfitted with a queen bed and comfy sheets. The loft has a queen bed, a double bed and a futon that folds into another double. The single bathroom is done with a custom-made stone floor, with each stone hand-picked. There is a wood-burning stove for heat or romance (and wood available!), as well as a monitor for an easy heat source. There is also a washer and dryer, and all the essentials needed for your visit. We have a television for a relaxed night inside and fast and reliable internet for streaming or remote working. Outside, large front and back porches provide plenty of comfort and relaxation possibilities, and a cement pad in the private yard has an outside table that comfortably seats 6-8. From the back yard, there is gated access directly down to the river with a great swimming hole close by (though swimming at your own risk), and a porch swing where you can indulge in morning coffee with radiant light off the river (our favorite time of the day). For active kids, there’s also a ninja course. There is also ample parking for cars and even a boat if you’re interested in putting in at Trinity Lake.
We are also just down the street from Trailhead Pizza – a favorite regional wood-fired pizza place with numerous weekend concerts throughout the summer, and unlimited access to amazing hikes and the great outdoors.
Guests will access to the entire home and parking. They will not have access to the garage.
Other things to note
There is no dishwasher and there is a short staircase required for entry. We are also in a rural area, so cell phone service is spotty. (There is a rotary landline for emergencies as well). IN WINTER, absolutely come prepared for snow and inclement weather and be prepared for it to take some time for roads to get plowed. And, while there is a deli/market in Coffee Creek and a larger market/convenience store 15 minutes away in Trinity Center, the closest grocery store is 45-60 minutes away so please plan accordingly.
