We are first time visitors to Ireland and the Murphy’s Hotel, for our first night in Ireland, was exactly what I was hoping for as a traditional Irish hotel/pub in a small out of the way village. It is family run, and the staff and owners are very friendly and very helpful. It has a casual atmosphere that feels like you are a family guest, rather than a hotel visitor. The rooms are good at this price point and the restaurant provided wholesome, traditional Irish fare for our dinner and breakfast. Thanks for providing such an enjoyable welcome to Ireland.

Great Place (despite hotels.com terrible rewards)
Tinahely is off the beaten path for tourists unless you plan to do some hiking while in Ireland. Many and varied trails are close by. I wanted a comfortable place to do some writing for my last to days in-country, and Murphy's was perfect. The local people were friendly and helpful everywhere I went. Highly recommended if you want a place to unwind.

I booked myself and the wife into Murphy’s hotel for a night to get a break away from the grind of family life. It looked nice in pictures but I was not sure about it tbh. But when we got there I was so happy with the experience. The staff were very friendly the hotel is so clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, really enjoyed ourselves. Excellent service, we are going to go back and stay again for longer next time.
