A Wagon Cabin on the Mulberry River, Oark Arkansas

The Sparrow is located on the Mulberry River in Oark, Arkansas. Hit the trail and go back in time in our "Glamping Style" Covered Wagon that sleeps two comfortably. While you provide blankets, sheets and towels, we provide Wifi, a Queen size bed, A/C, Heat, TV, full bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, toilet paper, coffee maker, coffee, small refrigerator, and microwave. It is one mile from the Historic Oark General Store, two miles from the Catalpa Café, and close to many waterfalls. You are able to ride for miles on trails and backroads in your jeep or ATV/UTV to explore the Ozark National Forest. The river is perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing, or listening to as you roast s'mores around the fire pit. You are sure to enjoy this unique piece of paradise!

Perfect style of camping
It was just what we needed to escape the busyness of life and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. We splashed in the river, watched animals playing and chased crawdads. The stagecoach was a fun upgrade to old school camping.

Gorgeous and unique!
This was a gorgeous and unique experience in the covered wagon! The hosts did a wonderful job clearly communicating what was already stocked in the cabin versus what we needed to bring so there was no confusion and we were well prepared. The scenery was beautiful and the Oark Cafe and Mountainview Bistro were right down the road. Quick easy access for riding our sxs. Even with limited time for our quick weekend we were able to have a great memorable adventure!

The covered wagon was super cute. There was plenty of space and everything was comfortable. Nice little walk to river, beautiful place to stroll. Too cold during our trip to dip toes in the water. Short. nice drive from I 40. Ours was just a stop on our way through but this is a great place to spend time.

We enjoyed our stay in the covered wagon. It was very clean, smelled amazing, and the string lights gave it such a cozy vibe.It rained the first night we were there and we loved listening to the sounds of the raindrops on the canvas. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing and Comfortable Glamping Getaway
If you’re looking for a laidback weekend in the Ozarks including everything from campfires, fishing in the mulberry river, stargazing so clear you can see the Milky Way, but also having a comfortable bed and full size private shower available?? This is your spot. Very clean, very private, very peaceful. Great place for a romantic weekend getaway for two.

The wagon is outstanding
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the wagon! The instructions regarding what is and isn't included were spot on. So be sure you read the instructions sent and bring your own linens....bed and bath. The cell service is almost non-existent but the wifi does the trick. We brought wood from the house and enjoyed an excellent fire. Overall, we will definitely stay again when in the area!

Such a fun place to stay!
A friend and I met at the wagon and we’re amazed that it had as much room inside as it did! It has a comfortable bed, sitting area and a full bathroom. We sat outside around a fire and caught up, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was a great weekend in a cozy wagon!

Amazing!
Cabin was as good as the photos. Property is amazing and the location was perfect for kayaking, fishing or UTV trail riding. Owners are very responsive and accommodating! We will be back, hope to bring friend sand family and rent the larger cabin that time.

We enjoyed staying in the covered wagon - host thought of everything and all our creature comfort needs were met, including a great nights sleep. The walk to the nearby river was lovely! Will stay again sometime.

Let me first say, the cabin was lovely and is a wonderful quaint place to stay with nice views of a field of wildflowers with the mountains as a backdrop. The owners were very generous to allow us to tent camp down by the river the night before our official stay and it was perfect. However, we did have some issues that were not the necessarily the owner's responsibility. The week before our stay Venmo was having some technical issues. The app was down and tech support told me they were working on it. I honestly never had much time to thoroughly read through everything once the app was fixed. I should have. By the time we reached the area we had no cell reception. Here are a few things I learned that may be helpful to others: 1) There is no cell phone reception in this area. None. But you can get wifi at the Oark General Store a mile away. 2) The cabin does have wifi, but the password listed on the venmo page isn't correct. The one the owner sends is also not correct as there are no capital letters as it appears in the password they send. It's all lowercase. 3) There are NO sheets on the beds, just a plastic baby-proof mattress cover. This IS listed on the venmo description once, but all the photos have nice bedding and throws on the bed so I just didn't catch it. Just know that if you don't read that one line where you have to bring your own bedding it's an hour drive down the mountain and back round trip to get bedding. We learned the hard way.

We enjoyed, the wagon was fun to stay in, quiet and relaxing. The view was amazing and we even fished in the mulberry river. Folks in the area were very nice and gave some good ideas on what to do in the area. Great vacation!
