Can't get in property
Horrible experience. We arrived after a late flight and the door code would not open the lock. We tried to reach the owner but got sent to voice mail. Reached out to VRBO and they could not reach the owner either. Had to find alternate place to stay for the night. Finally heard from the owner and got a second code. Went to the property the next day and that code did not work either. Called the owner and got a 3rd "master" code. That did not work either. Told him that he needed to get to the property. Arrived and he could not open the door either. Had a fistful of keys and none of them worked either. He went to try the back door. We told him we were cancelling and wanted a refund.
I have never had an occasion where the property owner did not reach out on the day of arrival to confirm that we got in and everything was satisfactory until this one. This was ridiculous. There was never an apology.
