4,100 square feet lovely private brick 4 bedroom waterfront home directly on the James River with water access and spectacular water views. Beautiful sunrises and wildlife to view daily. Great quiet location near many tourist destinations including Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Chippokes State Park. Lovely Historic Smithfield is 25 min away. Our property is waterfront just steps away from the water. Our property is large -your fellow travel partners will have plenty of privacy. There are two kitchens one kitchen on the main floor and one on the garden level. Children are welcome. High Chair and Pack and Play available on request.

We didn't want to leave!
We enjoyed our time at this beautiful property. The view out over the river was spectacular and we could even see the fireworks from Busch Gardens on Saturday nights. The ferry is very easy to access and we found plenty to do on both sides of the river. The house is well stocked and cooking was easy in this kitchen. Lots of room for our family of 6. Thanks for a great stay!

Great place to stay with family while enjoying all the area has to offer. The ferry is close by so makes that an easy commute. Enjoyed the home and the beautiful view of the river! Kids had a great time exploring the water’s edge.

SUPERB LOCATION
The 3 storey house is located on theJames riverside. The views are stunning with wildlife in abundance. First time that Ive seen flying fish.The house is spacious spread over 3 floors. All facilities were well kept and there was plenty of towels, laundry and dishwasher liquid, soap etc. Much more thoughtful than most VRBO properties. Wi fi and entertainment good. Only a few minutes from the Scotland-Jamestown free car ferry which we used every day. Excellent service and great way to see the river. Host very easy to contact and helpful. Overall an excellent property worthy of 5 stars

Perfect place on the James river.
Very spacey 3 level house with an awesome view and a private beach. Loved the big bay window in the kitchen. 4 large TVs with premium channel packages. Rode the ferry, did the kayak and Chippokes park. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Enjoyed the little town of Surry, monster sub at the Ham shop and treats at the cupcake shop. Had a wonderful time at this property!!

Great property. The pics don't do it justice. The views are spectacular. The hosts are always available if need be. Right at the ferry that takes you to Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown. We would never hesitate to use again.

Lovely place
We had a fun and relaxing time here. It was clean, spacious and in a great location. We had 6 people and there was enough room for everyone. The home was stocked with basics in case you forgot something and was only a half mile from the ferry. Go to the cupcake place that is nearby if you can, you won't regret it!

Lovely stay
The house is exactly as described. Well maintained and beautiful setting on the James river. There are three levels. Main level is the 2nd floor with kitchen, dining, living room, and master bedroom suite. Great views from the kitchen nook/living area and back deck. Down below is a separate private bedroom area, including bar and entertainment area. Upstairs are two more bedrooms and bath. The ferry across to the Jamestown/Williamsburg side is just around the corner. Most of the day it comes every 30 minutes. The ride is about 15 minutes across. Clear communication from the owner and we had no issues whatsoever. Fully recommend.

A Lovely Place for Thanksgiving
What a lovely holiday home! The house is right on the James. You can watch the tide, see eagles, herons and song birds every morning! The house was perfect for 3 generations of family with a huge kitchen to cook (or not) meals. The ferry was fun, free and gave us a reason to be timely. Jamestown was right across the river. Williamsburg and Yorktown were right don the road. And in the evening it was wonderful to sit on the deck and identify the constellations!

Amazing!
The location was wonderful. Close to plantations, parks and Historic Smithfield on the Surry side of the James River, and 5 minute ride to catch the ferry to cross the James over to Jamestown and Williamsburg. The home is beautiful and exactly as seen in pictures. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Morning coffee on the deck was wonderful. We plan to return!

Beautiful views
Excellent property, clean with beautiful views. We sat outside every morning and saw beautiful sunrises and the moon rising over the James River in the evening when we got home from sight-seeing. It is close to Williamsburg by ferry which is right up the road. Rene made sure we arrived and got into the house and answered our questions quickly. There was so much to see we didn't get to everything, We are already talking about the next time we will visit..

Sisters' Trip
This beautiful house was not only in a great location but was so well appointed and stocked for our group of six sisters. The site on the James River was endlessly fascinating and convenient to everything we wanted to do in the area. There was so much room to spread out and great common areas and spots to be together as well. The home was clean & communication with Rene was easy. We wished we'd been able to stay another week & would not hesitate to recommend the property to anyone.

Wow!
When we arrived at Rene's house, we found ourselves saying WOW! -- a lot of times. First, when we saw the wide-open view from the porch-- the beautiful, surprisingly wide and serene James river. Second, when we went inside. Open, light-filled, and comfortable spaces, and so very, very clean. And third, when we toured the 3 floors. Three couples, a floor for each, offering completely private quarters for quiet time to read or rest, and for a sound night's sleep. But large open areas to gather, both inside and out. Sunsets in the morning. Hundreds of stars at night. Even on the one cloudy drizzly day, the view was lovely. Thank you Rene for providing everything we needed to relax and enjoy our mini reunion.

The Best of the Best!
Having stayed in a number of of rentals over the years, this one was the best! Rene not only had quick and thorough communication, but the home lived up to its description. Beautiful and comfortable. From the basket of snacks welcoming us to thoughtful touches throughout the house, this home did not disappoint. We loved the house, comfortable furniture, kayaking on the river, the little private beach, beautiful sunrises over the water, the wildlife, the well stocked kitchen, proximity to the ferry... I could go on. Our family had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Wonderful large home by the river
We all enjoyed our stay in the home. Great mattresses, plenty of space, full kitchen supplies, and perfect location for visiting Williamsburg and Jamestown. The view from the kitchen of the river was perfect, kayaks a great addition, and location felt secluded. The family loved it.

This beautiful home directly on the James is outstanding. So well-appointed. Enjoy birds, butterflies, jumping fish and yes, dolphins from the deck or the living and dining areas. Ferry over to Jamestown and Williamsburg…so convenient! Highly recommend.

This is such a wonderful property- the location is perfect for all your tours, Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown…the ferry was simple to use and close to the house.
