« We've stayed at this property twice and hope to return. We were just there in the fall and the leaves are exceptional. We were there in the winter and driving along the Mississippi, there were lots of eagles along the shore. The views from the house of the Mississippi and Keokuk, Iowa, on the other side of the river are wonderful, particularly the lights of the city at night. There was more than enough space for our family of five. It's remote enough that there aren't neighbors within sight, but...

The downstairs is a great place to gather a large group, with lots of seating and a big dining table. The hosts were kind and helpful. We would definitely choose to stay here again. :) »

« We stayed on the 2nd floor of this property, which was very well appointed, nicely updated and comfortable for three adults. Two of us had separate bedrooms and the 3rd slept on the Murphy bed. Everything was clean and as advertised for a decent price in this small rural corner of the state. Made for great stargazing at the nearby state park, and there was good food at the local haunts in Keosauqua and the other villages just a short drive away. »

« This is a great place with a beautiful view! It has everything you need for cooking and serving! The place was very clean and neat. The young people loved the pool. The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests. »

« The house is very large and accommodated our group very well. We checked in Friday afternoon. It was disappointing that someone didn't come to turn the air conditioning on until Saturday morning. There were also a significant number of flies and wasps in the house. I got the vacuum out Saturday morning to clean them up. But those really are the only complaints. »

« Parking right at the door was convenient when we arrived after dark. All the rooms had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Plenty of outlets for charging etc. Great view of the river from indoors. Sliding door opens to deck with steps down to the yard and right down to the water. Very quiet neighborhood. »
