"This is one of my favorite hotel/Ryokans on Earth. The food is spectacular, the service is beyond exceptional (everyone was so nice, very refreshing after staying in Tokyo), and the onsen baths are divine. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I WILL BE BACK!!"
"The onsen Ryoken is a famous one in Japan as the Japanese Emperors had stayed at the estate for a few times. We stayed at a room with private onsen which is excellent. The food was also great and we had a great time."
"The staff was great with explaining and accommodating. Very nice stay.
The building was rather old and the television was a bit small but other than that it was great. "
"Hotel is located near the bus stop which makes it easy to catch the bus from Shin-Fuji station if you arrive by Shinkansen. View of Mount Fuji from the hotel room was amazing! Very glad I picked the room with the Mount Fuji view. Staff were very friendly. There is a strict 3pm check in however you can leave your luggage if you arrive early. You just take off your shoes when entering past the lobby up to your room. You must give you shoe locker and room keycard at front desk whenever you leave...
"This hotel was amazing. The staff and housekeeping were nice and exceptional. The public bath was very nice and there is a separate one for women that they keep a key for at the front. The room met my needs as the area was nice, quiet and calm. As an added bonus, you get views of Mt. Fuji almost everywhere you walk."
"Love that parking is available for free. Minutes to drive to Gotemba Premium Outlet. Lots of Kodak
Moments with Mt Fuji views just outside the hotel. Only set back is the white fluorescent light in the room. Could do with some softer, warmer lighting. "

"It was good. Just no touch pay like the USA unless you’re staying at its sister location then they do. Anyway good service, food and experience for a 5 star Ryokan."

"Amazing hotel and wonderful hospitality. We felt right at home. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was delicious too. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in Hakone. We booked a room with a private onsen and enjoyed it. "
"It’s a spa resort with a shuttle to/from the station and the doorway. Great staff & services. Gorgeous views and an amazing breakfast buffet and top notch restaurant for other meals. The onsen was public and worth going. You’re there to relax unwind and enjoy the views and surroundings. Well that ticked every box. Lovely!!"

"I enjoyed the onsen on our condo and the open areas that I was able to enjoy in the hotel. My condo had a beautiful view in which I could enjoy the sunrise. The complimentary drinks and snacks were greatly appreciated."
"Amazing stay at Hanaori! We stayed at the Deluxe Room with private open-air bath. Staff were wonderful, there's welcome-drink at the reception. The view was amazing; you can see the lake from the lobby & dining area. There's foot-onsen also overlooking the lake. Dining is all buffet, but it's the same every night / every morning.
Public bath was also great (both indoor and outdoor). Absolutely no tattoos allowed in the public bath.
Walking distance to Hakone ropeway to get the black-eggs. "
