Exactly what we needed
This house is exactly as advertised. Less than 500 sq feet but you have everything that you need a bathroom, kitchen, couch and a bed. PLUS you open the back door to the beach and a porch to watch the most beautiful sunsets.

Little piece of paradise
This beach cottage was a dream come true! I have always wanted to stay some place where I could just walk out the door and right on to the beach. This fit the dream perfectly! While the walk to the water is long, due to how the beaches in this area are, it was still wonderful and convenient. We spent a lot of our time enjoying the views and breezes on the back porch. Oh how I miss that back porch! The cottage was equipped with everything we could possibly need.. there is a Publix across the street and trolley stops nearby. There are two other cottages alongside this unit, but they set back and still afford you privacy. Some other reviewers complained about the ac not working; while we had some trouble with it, overall it worked fine. We did realize it would get hotter in there as the day went on, but once we started keeping the shades and curtains closed while we were out, it really helped. When choosing this place, keep in mind it is an old beach cottage. It is not perfect, but that just adds to the charm, right?!?! Will I stay here again?? You betcha! As a matter of fact, we are already planning the next visit. LOVED THIS PLACE!!

Memorable vacation
What a delightful cottage steps away from the beach. We had been searching for a little gem like Las Casitas and it checked all the boxes. Easy check-in, great communication and quick response time to any questions we had. We flew in with no rental car. Grocery and Transit stop right across the street. Beach towels, chairs, and cooler available to soak up the sun. We hope to visit again in the future.

Location, Location, location! The place was as expected for an older cottage. Could use some tlc. But we visited for the beach. The cottage was perfectly located to all the festivities. Would recommend but dont expect a 5 star hotel.

Mattress needs replacement (which has noted in several reviews for months) A/c in living area also needs review. Across st is publix which is very handy. Place is cute, clean, and this is our second visit. Will return IF mattress is replaced. We ended up having to build up the mattress 'hole' with blankets but we ended up taking turns sleeping on the couch as we would roll to the middle of the bed

Coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon sitting on the porch is stunning. We had a quick checkin and communication was great. Home was well equipped with kitchen needs and a few chairs to carry to the beach. As has been noted here before, the matress was less than comfortable as it dipped badly in the middle. Someone had placed a divider bolster in the closet so I put that under the sheet so we stayed on our own edges and that helped a bit! Great location to awesome seafood and shopping at John's Pass. There is a paved walking trail for those that choose that over walking on the beach and several places for eat and drink along there. O really, can't beat the location or view. Bring in January, we had opportunity to use both heat and air conditioning and both worked great!!

Holiday Weekend
The property was as pictured, with a walk to the water and a nice view from the porch. A quaint cottage with updated kitchen that was perfect for breakfasts and quick meals. Washer and dryer are a nice touch. It was just as we had hoped, private but convenient location. Sliding glass door needs some attention as the latch took some finagling and time for a new mattress as we rolled to the center hole. Otherwise, it was a great stay and I would have no problem returning.

3 day getaway
The location is priceless! There’s a few things that are left to be desired. The air conditioning was not working and we did contact the property manager. They indicated that one of the air conditioners is waiting on a part and they could send somebody out to look at the other one that was not working. Due to the time year and the weather cooling, we did not have somebody come out. Honestly, if they just had a few screens and another box fan, especially this time of year it would’ve been a perfect solution. Also I’ve read in multiple reviews about the mattress. I can agree with them, it is pretty horrible. Location and view amazing. House just needs a little TLC. Definitely need the air and mattress taken care of.

LOOK ELSEWHERE!!
We have stayed at different homes and condos througout FL for many years. This may have been the worst place we have ever stayed. There were a lot of smaller issues which I won't mention as it may just be a personal preference in vacation homes but below are items that should make people continue to look for a better spot. We dont spend a ton of time inside but when we do, we want to feel safe and in a clean environment. This failed miserably on both accounts. Positives: -responsiveness and communication of property managment team -location to the beach -appliances Negatives: -got two cuts on my foot from shards of glass on the floor. One inside the house and one on the back porch. Felt like splinters but when I pulled them out, it was definitely glass. -hoping we dont have bed bugs. We have noticed some small bites on our legs. Luckily we did not put any of our luggage on the bed. -most of the floor had very soft spots so you almost felt like your foot could go through the floor. -there were leftovers in the refrigerator when we arrived. -dont lean on the small island in kitchen, it is not close to being stable. -bed was VERY uncomfortable-you roll into the middle. Was difficult to sleep. -air conditioning worked about 25% of time. Was very warm in house. That on top of the horrible bed made it very difficult to sleep. We almost went to a hotel. Hate to leave such a horrible review, but people should know what they are really getting.

“Cost very fair,” your view,horizon meets the ocean/white sand,beautiful sunsets, maybe 100 steps to the ocean from your porch, we were in No 3. Everything you need available, Dining/shopping in walking distance. Some tweaking needed, suggest better mattress. Definitely a go to, will return. Thank you

We had a lovely stay. It was so nice to be that close to the sand. And the sunsets from the back porch were very nice too. If you have trouble locking sliding door...go slow and be patient. All in all a great stay!

A treasure on Treasure Island!
This sweet little cottage had everything! It is neat, clean, efficient, and we even got to experience watching a storm on the beach from the safety of the covered porch. It’s a short walk to the water and Publix is right across the street behind the house. No need to leave during the stay unless you just want to! We will definitely book again. 😁

We had a wonderful stay. Property is on the beach yet far enough back from the crowds. We were able to communicate through texts with fairly rapid responses. If ever back in the area, we would definitely return.

20th anniversary disappointment
Except for the view and location, the cottage was disappointing. Too good to be true. Interior and exteriorRequires a lot more time and love spent on it to be a five star. Other than newer appliances there was nothing else updated or was frankly in need of repair. Small safety details like a rug by doors and a mattress pad placed on mattress instead of only having just a bottom sheet would raise the standard. The parking is very, very tight too.

Great location!
Great location! Beautiful sunsets and short walk to the beach. Plenty of towels, nice beach chairs and umbrella to use. Close to lots of great places to eat if you walk, drive, or take the island taxi. We would recommend Sea Dog Brewing and The Hurricane, the food and service were fantastic. House was clean and just as described, small and had what we needed. Things that would be helpful, more than one bar of soap in the bathroom so you could have one in the shower and one to wash your hands hands with, and laundry soap even one pod would be nice to have. Shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were provided along with dish soap and dishwasher detergent. Yes parking is tight but we never had an issue, other guests at the two other rentals on the property were respectful of the small space and you were able to get in and out if you were careful, the main road isn’t horribly busy. The only bad thing I can say is that it REALLY needs a new bed. The bed is very uncomfortable and should be replaced, it felt like sleeping in taco 😂

Great location and space for two!
Overall we were pleased with the property and cleanliness inside. The location directly on the beach with nothing obstructing our view was great and I never got tired of sitting on the back porch except when the sun was too direct. The kitchen area is more than adequate and we appreciated what was provided like the blender and toaster. We could easily imagine staying longer and may do so in the future. It is tough to beat the beach view and access as well as the privacy of having a cottage. The following are comments and suggestions, NOT complaints... the outside on the porch was not in the greatest shape and appears to not be included in the regular cleaning. The table was sandy and has a layer of grime. The chairs are showing some wear, and one looked like it was beginning to tear and unusable. The whole area was sandy and we were glad we decided to bring our own beach chairs, towels, and sail tent. The existing equipment was lumped on the porch and was filled with sand so I did not even bother to check it out further. The boogie board was broken in half and not really usable, although my wife did try with some success. The beach chairs looked totally unusable and never really checked them out. None of this detracted from our stay since we brought our own, but did leave an impression that more attention was needed if advertising that these items are included. The main comments concerning the inside; The main furniture, couch and the 2 cloth covered counter stools, were somewhat worn and looked unclean, but probably because there has been a lot of wear and tear. They were functional but detract from the overall great impression of the whole kitchen and main living area. The coffee table does need to be replaced. two of the legs are very loose and I was very careful in moving it at all and putting things on top of it. It is also too big for the space and does get in the way. Grateful for the fact there is onsite parking. It was challenging to maneuver when additional cars were there to turn around so we did not have to attempt backing blindly onto the busy street in front. Not sure there is anything that could be done about this giving the current layout of the properties. Again, these are all comments and suggestions and are not complaints. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future. I would be difficult to find a location and place like this anywhere else on the beach. Thank you
