Stay at cabin in spooner
A great piece of property. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. Everyone was able to have their own space and enjoy each others company eating at the large dining room table, playing board games, watching tv and fishing. The cabin was very clean and the area quiet and relaxing.

Fantastic cabin right on the water!
We loved everything about this place. Cabin was able to accommodate 2 adults and 5 kids, so much to do on the water! The kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and row boat were a wonderful perk and used often. Many fish were caught much to the approval of the kids. The owner was very friendly and helpful and could be reached easily and quickly. We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful cabin
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin on the lake. Everything you may need is supplied. My family had fun kayaking, playing yard games and on a rainy morning inside games. The only problem our time was too short. We didn’t want to go home to the noises of the city.

Perfect winter getaway for families
We loved sitting by the wood stove and looking out the picture window over the lake, while our kids played on the lake ice below. We enjoyed board games and puzzles at the dining room table, reading on the cozy living room chairs and sofa, and cooking big meals for everyone. Pretty close to Hayward for winter festivities during Birkie week.

Cozy Cabin - a little slice of heaven
Property was the best we have ever stayed at! Very well maintained, wifi worked great and had a/c. Nice dining area and kitchen, and the bathroom was beyond hotel quality! Nice dock for watching the sunsets, and great fishing around the lake. We caught many panfish, rock and large mouth bass. plenty of wildlife and activities. We used the canoe, kayak and paddle board. The owners are very nice and very reachable. Nice fire pit and fish cleaning shack! We look forward to our next visits!

Wonderful place for family a vacation
The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. The towels and bed linens were very soft and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kids loved the kayaks and paddle board provide. We really enjoyed the screened in porch, fishing off the dock and watching the lake from the living room out the big bay window. We will definitely be back!

More than we asked for!
I am 75 years old. My family went on our first resort vacation in Wisconsin in 1960. That is 64 years ago. That is a family tradition we have repeated more than 40 times through the years. We stay at resorts or private cabins. First it was with my parents and later it was me with my wife and kids. More often than not some or all of my sisters and their families joined us. This property might have been the most impressive that we have ever stayed at for a week. They supply you with everything you would need for a week. Towels they supply. Toilet paper they supply. The kitchen is fully stocked with all needed items. The list goes on and on. Television! Air conditioning! Internet!

House in the woods by the lake
We really enjoyed our stay at this house on the lake. We utlized the canoe, kayak, and rowboat which made getting out on the lake fun. It was quiet and peaceful but still close enough to Spooner to get food delivered or drive into town to get whatever you may need. We drove up to Lake Superior and also Pattison State Park. Both were about an hour and fifteen minute drive away. Only negative was that there are a lot of lillies and vegetation in the water just off the dock. So, we had to use the rowboat to get past this in order to fish without getting snagged. I would give a strong recommendation for this house. It was a nice vacation.

Peaceful Property
We will most certainly be back !! This was the most peaceful place we've ever stayed. The Cabin was very clean and the owners provide you with most everything you need. Which helps with packing. My kids enjoyed kayaking on the lake and fishing from the dock. With the lake not being busy we enjoyed watching our youngest kayak all around. Atv trails are really close as advertised. No need to trailer your ATV from the cabin. The owners seem like great people and were even nice enough to notify us, that we forget a dirty clothes bag, before we got to far. The only thing my wife and I would change would be our lenghth of stay. We could've stayed for an eternity. Next time will be a longer stay !!! Thank you Jim and Lori you're truly amazing owners !!

Beautiful and very quiet place to stay
We have taken a few vacations now through VRBO and this one was another wonderful find! The location is excellent as it is only 10 minutes off the interstate and 10 minutes away from Spooner, which has everything you need for groceries and supplies, as well as a very nice downtown area to do some shopping. The cabin is a nicely remodeled ranch style home with very few properties in the area. McKinley lake is a smaller lake with no public access making it a wonderful place to fish and swim for the kids. Great fishing off of the dock and there was a row boat, kayaks and paddle board supplied as well. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook for our family. A nice large dining table served us well for eating as well as playing the many board games supplied by the host. There is a gorgeous view of the lake from the sitting room which also has a wood burner for the winter months. Also a very nice roomy bathroom stocked with plenty of towels and beach towels. Bedrooms were very comfy and the central air was really nice as we had a few days in the upper 80’s. We really enjoyed the screened in porch area too for reading and listening to the loons. We brought a UTV to go for a few rides and most of the roads in the area are blacktopped and legal. Just make sure to stay off of the county roads as they do not allow UTV’s on them. Overall we had a a great time and the kids are asking when we can go again! Thanks Jim and Lori!
