« The inside of the house was great and had everything you would need. The pool was clean and well kept. The hot tub never got very hot but the home owner communicated with us the entire time and apologized for the inconvenience. He was very nice and even offered to let us check out late. Only reason I give it four instead of five stars is because 1) The Hot Tub and 2) The back yard was a bit over grown and could have used a fresh mowing. Aside from the two thing mentioned above it was great. »

« Stayed for two nights with no issues. The kitchen is very well stocked with sauces and spices. The AC is undersized, but we were going through a heat wave, so it would catch up at night. Outside was nice, but there were many giant but harmless spiders, which is likely why there were no bugs or mosquitos. The morning visits from about 10 Longhorns was enjoyable. »

« Once a year my core friend group from college do our best to have a weekend together. It is a very special tradition and the Yellow Rose was absolute PERFECTION. « We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the house in La Grange. The house was clean and cozy. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and evening, listening to the birds. We took a fun ride through the pasture in the ATV, and even did a little fishing in the pond. The house was just a quick drive away from Schulenburg for our tour of the painted churches. It worked out perfectly for our visit. »

The original floors in the kitchen and solid wood pocket doors in the dining area provided a glimpse into the home’s history. The original stairs gave us our daily workout with detailed woodwork. « We came here for the peace and quiet of country living and we were not disappointed. It was nice to hear the birds singing in the mornings, sit outside and relax on the deck, and go for a nice walk. The house is very nice and fit our needs. The host and hostess are very nice people.
