Welcome to Sunset Lake

Our light, airy, and beautifully decorated vacation home with immaculate attention to detail. Located just footsteps away from Lake Michigan with its amazing sunset views and a sandy beach as of 2023. This 2-acre property allows privacy and relaxation inside and outside the house.



INSIDE THE HOME

Our 2-story, exquisitely decorated home across the street from Lake Michigan and an expansive backyard is designed for a perfect getaway. 1st Floor provides wonderful views of Lake Michigan with two beautifully appointed guest rooms, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. Our main, 2nd Floor, has an open floor plan with two large master suites, office space, a fully stocked kitchen, large dining room, spacious living room, and two wonderful sunrooms. Both Master suites have walk-in closets, full bathrooms, showers, and a jet tub in one of them. A separate study/ working area offers a desk and an office chair and has ample shelf space. Guests will also appreciate a large laundry room complete with a washer and dryer. The living room has a luxurious sectional sofa ideal for relaxing in front of a large 55” TV. The entire 2nd floor is filled with light and offers stunning views of the Lake. Quests are welcome to enjoy morning coffee or a breathtaking sunset view at one of the sunrooms, while the other one provides garden views and is ideal for family relaxation after a day in the sun. Both the dining room and the garden sunroom have two identical 9 feet dining tables each seating 8 people. Our 2nd Floor opens up to a backyard deck equipped with a Weber grill and comfortable patio furniture. Additionally, we invite you to enjoy fantastic sunset views by the fire in our front yard equipped with Adirondack chairs.

LOCATION

A private stairway leads down to the lake and the sandy beach. Douglas Beach is within .8 miles and has 40 feet of sand to enjoy. Oval Beach is also an option and is 3.6mi away from the house.

This home was perfect for our group, 7 adults and 3 children. The house was very clean, the owners were communicative and respectful, and the property was gorgeous! Easy access to the lake and a short walk from a few nice shops or a 5 minute drive to town. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing location & stunning sunset views!!
Located on one of the most picturesque streets in the area, this home has fantastic views. The beach access was great and we were often the only ones on the beach. The home has a great layout for a large group and we loved having two master bedrooms. The fire pit was awesome as well. We had a minor water issue during the stay and it was immediately taken care of. The rental team is responsive and super great to work with. Highly recommend.

Perfect Great Lake getaway
Property provided room to spread out when desired and also gather together. We enjoyed the access to the beach, fire pit, and a yard big enough to feel like we were not right on top of the neighbors. Close to Saugatuck, very nice town, and lots of trails to explore.

Beautiful house and sunsets! Close to vineyards, downtown, marina and a store Isabel’s ( sandwiches ). Beach access down stairs. They list a few amenities that were not available- snorkeling gear, beach blankets but otherwise a very nice home and neighborhood to relax. In over the weekend. You will enjoy your visit.

Loved it-close to Saugatuck/Oval beach! The main level of the home is upstairs, so people with stair issues need to know that. The sunset views from inside the home out over the lake were great!

Family reunion in Michigan
Great house for our family reunion. It was missing a few essentials, but we picked some things up a the store and the property manager was responsive and will help the owner with necessary supplies. The location is good, the street is great for walking, Oval Beach is a short drive away as are the towns of Douglas and Saugatuck.
