"The property is very nice and quiet and the hostess is very friendly, but it is an RNB and not an hotel, hence there are neither services such as cleaning the room during our entire stay, breakfast, front desk, nor a closet to unpack the suitcase. If you consider staying at an rnb I fully recommend it."

The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable. "

The property is well maintained, newly renovated. We come from a city so we were thrilled to have goats, chickens and peacocks nearby. The place is a short walk from the Medieval Village. "Our 2 night stay was very nice. We had one problem with the sink in the bathroom that was promptly fixed. The location next to the entrance to the Old Town was great: a 2 minute walk. The staff were great too. Unexpectedly, we were there for the big Chocolate Festival and parking was almost non-existent. The woman at the check in desk made sure that we were able to park in her parking space when she went off duty. We were given a great recommendation for a place to eat for a small dinner meal...
