Not a great experience
The biggest issue was the house was dirty. The common areas had been swept and the sheets and towels appeared clean. However, the laundry room was disgusting with random things shoved into cupboards. Every shelf was grimy, especially in the kitchen.
Shelves had to be cleaned before dishes could be replaced. The oven was so dirty it was pretty much useless. The area underneath the burners had not been cleaned in years as there were multiple layers of grime that had built up. There were no potholders or dishcloths and only one dish towel. The dishes were ok, but the limited pots and pans had seen better days. There were cookie sheets and baking pans in the drawer underneath the oven that were so disgusting they were unusable. We ended up buying disposable pans and paper plates along with cleaning supplies and cleaning ourselves.
The second biggest thing was the thermostat. There were no written instructions provided, and it is not intuitive. It kept overriding any time we tried to adjust. Therefore, the temperature ran very hot and very cold.
Other issues:
Shower in downstairs bathroom clogs, resulting in standing water. Spider webs, no switch or wall plates in laundry room, towel holder in downstairs bathroom broken, can opener so old and bad it was dangerous, stairwell railing into basement is broken at the bottom.
Owners were fairly communitive the first couple of days but gave inadequate help and then failed to respond. Beds were comfortable, nice TVs and location
