Cleanliness is everything
I have stayed in or rented several places and the most important thing for me has always been cleanliness. A clean rental gives confidence that’s you are staying in a well taken care of home and unfortunately I did not have that feeling during this visit.
First of all, there was trash in the cup holder of the chair in the living room. There was also coffee grounds still in the filter of the coffee maker. The linen closet has unfolded linens all about and soiled towels in the closet with additional items on the floor of the closet. The air return grill is absolutely filthy and I assume that the filter is just as dirty. This speaks to the confidence , or lack there of, that you would have in the place that you are staying. There were also not enough washcloths for all of our guests and the host had to order them to be delivered the following day. Julia’s (host) responses were timely, thoughtful and she was attentive. She was the highlight of my experience. The remaining issues were more of the same about cleanliness, preparation for the number of guests and doing the little things that can make a stay memorable for the right or wrong reasons.
For these reasons, I would not be able to recommend this rental for anyone.
