Good Vacation
The house was great, although there wasn’t much of a bay view as advertised. The interior was imaculate open concept. Very comfortable!! Beds and all!
The only issues we had with the house were the smell of the water, especially the hot water. We notified the property managers and they told us to run the hot water in the house until it ran cold to flush out the hot water tank. That pretty much remedied the smell. Also the heating element in the dryer was not working, so we had to hang our clothes outside to dry. That was really not a big issue considering how beautiful the weather was!
The back of the house backs up to the island water tank/system, so no view from the back other than the big black water tank. Part of the upper deck was screened in, so that was a plus. Also, there was the constant hum of the water tank filtration system. The yard could have been mowed/maintained a little better. The back yard was a little overgrown and there is a frog pond right next to the house. It was cool to listen to the frogs singing at night, but I’m sure there were probably some snakes and other predators living there as well, which is to be expected. It wouldn’t have been very safe to hang out in the back yard, especially for young children.
All in all, we had a great time and thank the owner and propert management company (who were very responsive) for allowing us to stay here!
