"I booked this for my wife and I, our two sons (2 & 5 years old), her dad and my dad. It was a nice secluded and quiet spot, and it had everything that we needed for our trip. Whiteface mountain was about 15-20 minutes away and Lake Placid about 25-30. Lana was a great host. Communication was easy and she made sure to show us the house and let us know where everything was."

It is somewhat dated - it's a lake cabin so just knowing what to expect is good- has an oldish feel and yes, a bit of a damp feel, but very comfortable. The water is indeed an issue - very sulfur-y smell- a whole house water filter would help, but with a water filter and bottled water, it's fine. "Looked for somewhere close to SUNY Plattsburgh to come in to visit our student at college, mainly to bring her dogs to see her, took a chance on the Blueberry Cottage and wasn’t disappointed.
