Have been staying here for past 15 years whenever I come to Mexico.
Such a lovely spot. The staff is wonderful, kind and attentive. The grounds are beautiful. The Hotel itself is definitely due for some upgrades (painting, furniture and carpentry, magnetics on door cards) but I don’t really care. After all, who stays in their room much of the time when in Mexico anyway? I love this place..

The resort is lovely, clean, beautifully decorated in traditional Mexican style. The service and staff were amazing and very attentive. It was a very relaxing and luxurious stay. I will go back!

Most of the beach at Barra is on a slope and has large waves and rock. There is a small beach on the lagoon side down at the Malecon. Mostly people surf the smaller waves. Better beaches are towards Maleque/San Patricio.
