Park your car, and walk everywhere from this pet and family-friendly cottage — where you can hear the cry of seagulls during the day and the murmur of waves at night — just a few minutes' walk away from spectacular Lovers Point beach, and restaurants and shopping in downtown Pacific Grove.

The 3-bedroom, 2-bath newly remodeled historic home, known as the C.A. McCoy House and built originally in 1887, features an open floor plan with modern amenities. Tall ceilings and windows that let in plenty of natural light give this residence a spacious ambiance, with easy-care flooring that is perfect for pet owners.

Besides being just steps from the beach, the 1100 square-foot home also offers easy access to attractions such as Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Links, Point Pinos Lighthouse and Asilomar State Beach, and to the Monterey Peninsula Recreation Trail, perfect for walking, running or cycling.

The house is also in the heart of Pacific Grove’s city park network, and is close to Jewell Park, Caterpillar Park and Caledonia Park, which includes a tots’ play area, climbing equipment for older children and picnic tables. A little further south is George Washington Park, a forested area with nature and hiking trails. Also nearby is the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, offering displays and information on plants, animals and sea life of the region.

It’s also only a few minutes by car to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and historic Cannery Row. Downtown Monterey, Carmel and golfing in Pebble Beach are a 10-minute drive away, and other attractions within a half hour’s drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.

Living Space
Guests can enter through the mint-green front door from the porch, or through the side door into the primary suite. The front door opens into the living room, which includes a comfortable dark blue couch, a coffee table, several chairs, a modern metal chandelier, and a 46-inch HDTV.

Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen features a stainless steel gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, generous amounts of cupboard and counter space, custom deep blue cabinetry and tiled backsplash. The dining table is in the middle of the kitchen features ocean-themed wall art and a glass-topped dining table with 4 metal chairs and stools are on hand for casual counter seating nearby.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The three bedrooms each feature queen beds with a color scheme in white, gray and blue, with cozy white quilted comforters, fabric headboards and ocean-themed wall art.
Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, direct access outside and an en suite bathroom with a standing shower.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed and is located near the living area.
Bedroom #3 has a queen bed and is next to the full bath in the hallway with a standing shower.

A stacked washer and dryer are available in a closet at the end of the hallway near two of the bedrooms.

There is one off-street parking space next to the house and additional parking on the street.

Well-behaved, quiet dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

My family and I were so impressed with this rental that we hope to book it again next year! It was clean, it's proximity to both the beach as well as old town PG was amazing, and we were even able to walk to the aquarium! The home is well stocked with what you may need, beds were comfy, and the kitchen was nice to have to avoid eating out for every meal.

Great Small Home
This was our first time staying at a house in Pacific Grove and it turned out great. The three bedrooms worked greaat for the three generations of our family. The home is somewhat small but it worked very well, even when another family joined us for dinner at the house one evening. The location is fantastic, between the bay and the restaurants and shops on Lighthouse Ave. We even walked to the Aquarium.

Sweetest beach cottage with all amenities and comforts.
Surf’s Up beach cottage in Pacific Grove is a magical place to stay. Comfortable, clean with all the comforts of home. Walking distance to Lovers Point, restaurants and shops. And management by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals was classy. They greet you with the warmest touches!!!!

A Perfect Monterrey Escape
This property in Monterrey was a total win! The location was killer - right by the water, perfect for sunset walks, and next to a park that kept the kiddos busy. Plus, it was super clean and nicely updated, making it a comfy home base for the whole family. Downtown and Cannery Row were very close which was helpful. We loved exploring the city and checking out all the amazing restaurants (so many delicious options within walking distance!). Shout out to the hosts too - they were accommodating and always there to answer our questions. Overall, this property was a total gem. We had a blast and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and convenient stay in Monterrey!

A great property in Pacific Grove. Really well located for local cafes and amenities, as well as a short drive to Carmel and the 17 Mile Drive. Also great for driving further afield to Big Sur. From the moment we walked in to the house we were impressed. Soft music was playing and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers! The house was sunny and bright, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Comfy beds and spacious showers were a plus! The house is a short walk to the beach at Lover’s Point. We will definitely return.

The property is really nice and clean. We had major construction noise next door all day. The manager of the property was very responsive to our issues and complained to the county. My only addition would be window coverings in the back bedroom so it is not so bright. Ideal location, very nice kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were quite comfortable. Without the construction issues (which are temporary) a great place to stay

Absolutely delightful PG Jewell Cottage
From the start it felt like home. We arrived on a cold and rainy evening, found the home to be warm with music playing when we walked in. The home has been delightfully remodeled with up to date living. Plenty of space to relax. Walking distance to downtown PG and the water. The reason I gave the neighborhood 4 stars is because a stranger walked up while we were unpacking the car and rudely told us we were parked wrong and could start a fire. He then said he knew the owner. The neighbor clearly doesn’t like the homes being rented. Besides this experience, the stay was fantastic.

Great location, good option for 4 people
The house is in an ideal location in Pacific Grove: 1 block from Lover's Point and the oceanside walking trail, 2 blocks from downtown, 5 minutes from the weekly farmer's market, and a very short drive to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, 17-Mile Drive, Trader Joe's, etc. You'd be hard-pressed to find anything more perfectly situated. The house, originally built circa1880, has been very nicely updated, with all mod cons, and has a clean, modern feel. It's well-stocked with plenty of bath soaps, trash bags, laundry soap, TP, etc. - clearly someone is thinking things through. However, the house is small and comfortably accommodates no more than four adults (or two adults and three children). We were five adults, and at times it felt cramped. The allotted parking space is very, very tight - even a compact car would be a squeeze. And the kitchen isn't stocked for gourmet cooking, so plan to bring your own if you want to do a lot of cooking.
