"This was a great spot to be near all the local site seeing spots. It’s near the main rail lines and walking distance to one of the best burger joints (Dragon Burger) I’ve experienced in all of Japan. My only critique was finding hair in the beds and extra futons we used to watch movies in the beautiful lofted area. Other than that, the owners were great at communicating and the property was awesome!"

"Good experience to stay in traditional Japanese house.clean and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine was convenient. Due to it being an older building, insulation isn’t very good and gets very cold in the winter and need heaters in all rooms. Location is not great as it is walking distance to most places. Bus stop 7 minute walk. Could have provided more furniture such as chairs. Overall nice experience besides being on the cold side."

"Very nice traditional house. Very clean. The host is very friendly and accommodating. However this house is best suited for 4 people or less, not for 6 people nor people that has problem going up steep stairs as the two bedrooms are upstairs. Also, with only 1 shower it is not convenient for 6 people that wanted to shower. The other two people had to find another place to stay since it was super cramped."

"The house and concept is great though there are a few things to note before booking. It's very spacious. Use of kitchen and laundry is a bonus. Well heated. The bathroom is accessed by going outside and you can see right through so make sure the curtains in the main house are closed if you are with friends or family (no privacy possible from bathroom side). This was ok for us as we were a couple. The bathroom does get very steamy so it's difficult to bathe properly and wash after shower. Also,...

"This should be a nice place to stay. However it is an extremely noisy area during the night (despite being on a small side street). With a large amount of cars and motorbikes passing during the night it is not a good place to stay as the walls are extremely thin."

"This house was in a great location! We were able to walk the Gion District as well as cross the river and shop the Nishiki Market area. For others who might consider staying here, please know that the house is small. If you are tall or big, this might not be a great choice. You also can hear EVERYTHING from the people staying below. "Once we were able to get the access code to this hotel, everything was great! It was clean and had the the toiletries you would need. It had the essential dishes you would need.and small kitchen appliances. The area around was walkable and quite. I would reccomend staying here and ill definitely be back if we find ourselves in this area again. It was perfect and accommodating."
