« We stayed a few nights. Property was well maintained. Be prepared for stairs. We told grandma to not visit because it would have been to difficult for her. The upper bedroom does not have air. Stairs are extremely steep and even with hand rail, had a few tumbles. Lower level was too cold to enjoy for long durations. The owners need to investigate storage for their lake equipment. Boat cover dry rotted. Kayaks were in rough and extremely dirty condition. I couldn’t get the kids out in them. »

« We had everything we needed and I loved coffee in the morning with the frogs. They were loud.Watching the swans, muskrats and other wild life and the beautiful light was the best. We were close to the beaches at gun lake and fished at the cottage. It was exciting to hear loons in lower Michigan. »

« Not so easy finding a house that can comfortably accommodate 37 people with ages ranging from 8 months to 68 years but this one sure did. Very spacious with so many bedrooms and beds. Obviously the pool and hot tub were the high points but there were plenty of other things to do. Christie the manager was always on the ball to answer any questions that popped up. She was very accommodating as was Adam, the owner. We all had the greatest time. »

« This was our third, and apparently last, stay at The Copper Cottage. The town is passing an ordinance restricting short-term rentals so it will no longer be available. However, we can't say enough about how lovely and responsive the owner has been. The lake is a lot of fun and Lake Michigan is a short drive away. We tried fishing this trip and, while we didn't get a full meal for our efforts, we had fun. We will miss this place! »

« We had a wonderful time at this property. It was nicely updated with a beautiful cedar 3 season room. We brought our boat and fished Swan Lake, along with two other nearby lakes. It did not disappoint. Bass, bluegill, northern pike were some of the ones we caught. We plan to visit again and would rent this property! The owners were quick to reply to our messages and were super friendly. »
