Day trip to Block Island via high speed ferry out of New London or Newport (1hour 15min). Stroll historic downtown Essex or Chester.

The neighborhood is quiet and residential, ideal and safe for walks to the beach. During the peak of Summer, you are allowed to drive down to Old Colony Beach to drop-off everyone, but will have to drive the car back up to the house. Beachcomber bikes available.
