Enjoy the natural beauty of the area from the comfort of your own home with large floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views. Near Mill Pond you may catch a glimpse of Ospreys and Bald Eagles in the area. You'll also find bird houses and feeders outside that attract songbirds, bluebirds, goldfinches, and martins.
Inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including central heat and air conditioning, three cozy bedrooms (including a master suite with a large walk-in closet and upgraded bathroom), three full bathrooms, and plenty of space to relax and unwind.
If you need to stay connected to work, our library/study space is ideal for remote working with great Wi-Fi and hundreds of literary classics and picture books for browsing.
Entertain your friends and family around a large antique French dining table that comfortably seats ten, or relax with friends in the cathedral-ceilinged living room. The loft features a HDTV and comfortable seating for streaming enjoyment. You can also spend time outdoors on the large stone patio and outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator, grill, and seating under cover.
Other amenities include a laundry room with a large, efficient washer/dryer, two fireplaces with dry wood provided, and a detached garage. Plus, the original barns were built using American Chestnut beams, dating them perhaps to the late 1800s.
Please note that due to the open riser loft stairs and railing, this home is not recommended for guests with small children, and pets are not permitted.
When you're ready to explore the area, there's plenty to see and do. Enjoy delicious sandwiches and home-baked goods at Coffee's Market or yummy diner fare at The Hangry Goose. For a taste of Italy, check out Sapore, which delivers delicious pizza, salads, and other Italian specialties. If you're in the mood for a classic dinner or jazzy brunch, head to the Old Lyme Inn.
Art lovers will appreciate the Florence Griswold Museum and Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, both less than a mile away, and the Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center (Audubon). Historic Old Lyme is less than two miles away and features a library, café, ice cream shop, The Chocolate Shell, and grand churches.
There's also shopping nearby, including the Big Y grocery store, Grand Wine and Spirits, hardware store, post office, Dunkin Donuts, and Treasures antiques, all less than two miles away. For even more dining and shopping options, take a short drive to Old Saybrook.
If you're looking for outdoor activities, you'll find great hikes maintained by the Old Lyme Land Trust or around Rogers Lake. Or head to the beach or hikes in Canfield Meadow Woods, Rocky Neck State Park, or countless other locations.
