"We love Lake Ohāu and always head back often, usually staying at the lodge, but this time we stayed at Grants place, and it did not disappoint!! A beautiful home with incredible lake and mountain views, comfy rooms, with everything you need and more. A new spa had been put in just before our arrival, although we did not get to test it out. Very roomy, large kitchen, toys, books, ping pong, bikes, its all there! A great place for any time of the year! Thank you so much for having us!! "

The Queen bed was very comfortable.The water pressure in the unit was excellent. The shower was very good. The kitchen is compact but has everything to make a meal. "My family and I stayed at this property after traveling extensively across New Zealand. We very much enjoyed the homey and comfortable feel. The communication with Andrea was phenomenal! Andrea was easy to connect with and ask questions as well as providing the necessary information. We enjoyed the small town feel of Twizel while still having ready access to the dark sky preserve and Mount Cook. I highly recommend this location!"

"We wouldn't have any hesitation to recommend this property. It is a unique, spacious, comfortable well equipped accommodation with a great outdoor space. Quiet location. There's a very pleasant 30 minute walk into town along the river. No significant problems, but curtains in the bedrooms (small windows) would have been appreciated. We couldn't find any coat hangers!"
