UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AS OF NOVEMBER 2022!
Welcome to my Really Sweet retreat! Only a one block walk to the Oceano Dunes beach entrance. Spend the day at the beach, rent quads or just take a drive along the Pacific Ocean on the only beach in California with a sand highway! Reserve your spot on a Biplane for an amazing view of the central coast. Down the street enjoy all that Pismo Beach has to offer on Pomeroy Avenue, the Monarch Butterfly preserve, the new Pier and more! In the middle of vacation paradise, we have everything you need! We can accommodate up to 5 guests and have parking for one vehicle. Sorry, no pets!

Practically Perfect
The condo is adorable with all the comforts of home. The complex itself was quiet and well maintained. The two places we ate at, Slappy's and Old Juan's, were within walking distance and delicious! Having beach access so close by was an added bonus but if you aren't a fan of ATV's and other motorized transporters this isn't the best place to hang. The dunes are beautiful and early morning walks are lovely.

Just a hop to the Pacific Ocean
This property was very well appointed. The bed was so comfortable which (to me) is very important! The kitchen was well equipped and there was a guest guide notebook on the kitchen table that was full of ideas for exploring, dining out, and how to resolve any issues on the property, of which I had none. But the best reason to stay here is the 1/2 block walk to the beach!!!! I had a wonderful 2-day stay and would always stay here if I planned a returned trip.

Wonderful
We came in for a San Luis Obispo Lighthouse reunion. It had been 60 years, as we were little kids when my father was the United States Coast Guard Chief there from 1960 to 1964. Location was perfect for us for all our running. Unit was clean. Parking was close. We had great weather while we were there. **My father wrote a book about his career in the USCG. We left one to add to the library of books in the unit. Thank you again., and will hope to be that way again.

We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay here again! We have no complaints, it had everything we needed and more. The condo was comfortable, clean, laid out nicely and stocked with everything we needed. Great location too.

Terrible Stay
Things started off rough right away. We arrived at the property 15 minutes early. At check-in, we were told we would only receive one parking pass, even though we had two vehicles. Twelve minutes before 3pm we got to our room. I unlocked the door to find the cleaning lady still in there. She was rude and short with us. She said our room wasn't ready yet and made it seem it was our fault for coming 12 minutes early. We left and went back in at 3:05pm. She still wasn't done. This time, she said they previous renters left late and the room was a mess. She was still extremely rude. We didn't get to check in until 3:42. That is 42 minutes after our check in. We had children with us who needed to rest and use the bathroom after a long car ride. The room was somewhat clean but a lot of things were broken. The following things were broken: the security latch, two light bulbs were missing in the front fan, the Keurig stopped working after our first cup of coffee, the AC would not turn on, the piece under the microwave was taped on, our screens had holes, and the curtain rod in the living room is bent and un functional. The following things were dirty: the couches, most utensils, the bed sheets, pubic hair in the bathtub, there was trash left on our front porch, a used dirty sponge, and the carpet was sticky. The online listing stated there would be ample kitchen supplies but we didn't have the bare minimum such as: tin foil, cling wrap, zip lock bags, and trash bags. In addition, we were only provided three rolls of toilet paper and three towels. We had a three night stay with six people. We didn't have enough blankets or pillows. The bedroom curtains are sheer and the beds were very uncomfortable. The towel concern was reported and we received an automated response but no one reached out to me. We will never stay here again. It is clear that this property does not care about the comfort of its renters.

Great Location
Great location!! Host provided pass to the state park that allows vehicles on the beach! It was amazing to drive up to the ocean and have dinner while watching the sun set. The place was super cute, clean and very comfortable.

Older Condo
The condo complex and decor is dated but worked fine. The Oceano area in general seemed somewhat down on its luck. We did walk nearby to a Mexican restaurant where a friendly server brought us a delicious dinner. Another night my husband cooked a yummy dinner, and said the kitchen contents gave him everything he needed. Note to owner: often closing the refrigerator door causes the freezer door to open part way which is not always immediately noticeable - needs repair. Also, an outdoor light shines directly into bedroom; blackout curtains would really help.

Worse than expected
So overall our stay was pretty terrible from the moment of check-in. When trying to check-in the check-in window could not find the forms we were supposed to sign so we had to come back the following day. The following morning they still did not have the forms and requested us to come back the NEXT day (same day we were leaving). We did end up signing the forms, as we were leaving the condo on the last day. Apart from that the condo was not the way we would have expected. There was visible debris on the floor throughout the Condo indicating it had NOT been vacuumed prior to our arrival. The sheets on one of the beds had a black make-up stain (not a huge deal), but also had red crusty looking stuff on the underside of the comforter. Unfortunately I did not notice this until the following day after sleeping in the bed. The bedroom is extremely bright as there are only sheer curtains so if you need darkness you will have to try and attempt to hang a blanket over the curtain rods to have some type of light blocking. There was a large wad of hair in the bathtub that was left which, quite frankly was disgusting. One of the recessed lighting housings was falling out of the ceiling. The host was communicative when telling him of these issues, and sounded sincerely apologetic, but nothing was resolved. He offered to pay us back some of the money we have paid for the place, but only offered financial options we did not have and did not follow up. Overall I would NOT recommend this condo. The worst part is that I had my young children with me who were exposed to this uncleanliness. If it were just me and my wife I would not have been AS upset, yet this was not the case. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Better than a motel room!
This was a pleasant suite with two comfortable full size beds, a living room with fold-out couch, and a small kitchen. Appliances were older but worked just fine. Having TV was nice but we couldn’t get the remotes to control the volume so had to watch with captions. Wi-Fi was ok at times, too slow to use at other times. The vanity area outside the bathroom needs better lighting than the flickering fluorescent tube that’s in place now. The place as a whole was quiet except for one night in which someone played loud music and stomped around upstairs well past quiet hours. We didn’t complain to the owner because we didn’t want to disturb him on Christmas Eve! I know I just listed several quibbles, but honestly none of them was a real problem and my family all agreed we’d stay here again!

'Cozy' is a great adjective
We enjoyed our stay at this 'cozy' cottage. It is tucked in a quiet corner in an apartment complex not far from the beach. The rooms were small but was able to accommodate our family of 5.

We loved staying here. Loved how close to the beach we were and the area is really quiet as well! The condo it self just need little fixes here and there but no big deal. Definitely will be staying again!

Very nice little place. Easy check in/out. A few drawbacks: The curtains in the bedroom are very thin and don't block out the lights outside at night. Also, the TV'S are a little confusing. I expected to turn on and flip channels and it's a little confusing. Some directions could take care of that. Keyless entry is great, but unclear on locking up when leaving. Again, some directions can take care of that. We figured it out, though.

not the place for a girls weekend
We didn’t even end up staying at this property, due to us feeling so unsafe and uneasy. we felt as if we were being watched by a few men outside and as a group of girls we made the decision to leave an hour after we arrived and stayed elsewhere. we communicated this to the property manager and received zero response back. we are pretty upset about this.
