« Just being in this cabin was a vacation in itself. We enjoyed how spacious it is yet cozy and warm, how unique and interesting every corner of the cabin is, and how calm and serene you feel being inside. Everything was great from the hot tub to the basement movies to the sunsets and sunrises. »

« The cabin was very nice. It was a central location for visiting several waterfalls. We never cooked or grilled at the cabin so I can't comment on those but everything looked fine. It was a really quiet get-away. »

« We had a wonderful time at the Whistling Turtle Chalet with our extended family. Plenty of space in nice clean rooms. Wonderful kitchen fully stocked, with beautiful rooms and grounds. Jenny was extremely communicative and helped with everything we needed or any questions we had. Such thoughtful accommodations and attention to detail. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to stay again! »

« I would 100% recommend staying here for larger groups! Very accommodating, clean and had everything we needed for a group of 7. About a 25 min drive to Bayfield to enjoy everything the area has to offer. We'll be back! »

« What a nice surprise! From the outside, the Sumac Chalet looked like a quaint little cabin tucked in the woods. But once inside the mix of finishes and furnishings were fun and inviting. There was even a SleepNumber bed just like at home and set it to 65 for a good night's sleep. First thing we did was hike the trail behind the cabin. Easy stroll through the forest ending at the shore at Roy's Marina. Other adventures included a ferry ride to Madeline Island to browse the galleries, eat...

« This rental is a perfect place for a small family or two couples to base their Lake Superior adventure from. There’s enough room for everyone to have their own space as well as room for everyone to get together to play a game or share a meal. Wi-Fi was great and kitchen was stocked appropriately. »

« The cabin is cozy -- a lofted bedroom overlooks the living area above the ground-floor (private) room. The whole cabin is well-heated by the fireplace and, in warmer months, the porch looks like a lovely place to eat and relax. The cabin is located in a small neighborhood of similar cabins, all separated from each other by well-preserved woods, which keeps everything feeling quite private and natural. « The property is beautiful and nestled into the trees, which made for a gorgeous winter setting. The bedding and bathrobes are luxurious and comfortable. The soaking tub and the fireplace are incredibly relaxing and ensure for a cozy stay. We enjoyed the quiet holiday weekend reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace. We could have easily stayed cozy in the chalet all week, but we were happy to have access to the beautiful scenery nearby for some exercise. It was a...

« Really good facility for our 10-member family. Many amenities. Great kitchen area with all necessary utensils and equipment. A lot of recreational equipment provided (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) Only suggestion would be to replace king mattress in main floor bedroom (off-laundry) with a FIRMER one.
