2nd half bath and separate wash area attached to the building's exterior.
Kitchen is equipped with a convection microwave oven, a two-burner stove and a full-sized fridge.
Available bar fridge for refreshments and a barbecue just steps from the house.
Sheets, blankets, and towels provided. Beach towels are available.
Guest Access
Access to the whole guest house, deck and private beach. One can enjoy a beautiful view high from the guest house located on the hill of our property.
Our property is in a remote location, so please be aware that this secluded retreat is a few hours ride and a 3 km boat trip away from the mainland and long trip from Nadi Airport.
This island is an unique off-grid experience. While the guest house has all the typical conveniences, it is powered by a 24-hour solar and wind system. Power is generally reliable, but can also be weather-dependent so please exercise discretion. Avoiding long showers, hairdryers, or leaving the lights on will encourage uninterrupted electricity. One cannot have two appliances on at the same time. A washing machine is available, but clothes must be air dried.
For North American guests, you must bring a few electrical converters. We will have some on standby in case of an emergency, but it is best to supply your own for your convenience.
WI-FI is available through Vodafone if you want to use your own SIM card, or share your hosts data plan.
Since the guest home is off-grid, the water system consists of collected rainwater stored in large tanks on the property. We also suggest bringing bottled water for drinking and teeth brushing.
Food must be purchased in advance of taking the boat to the island as there are no food markets or restaurants on the island. It's ideal to purchase groceries in Lautoka (a larger town en route from Nadi to Rakiraki) from a store or the produce market as food items can be limited in Rakiraki.
When in season, bananas can picked from trees on the property. We are happy to give guests more detailed information about this.
Interaction
The owner will be available to offer help throughout your stay. The owner lives in a separate home below the guest house and a caretaker is also available for assistance.
We’re always only a message away!
Other things to note
This place is a hidden gem in Fiji Island! Perfect for couples and friends.
No partying or any events/gathering that might disturb the neighborhood.
Getting Around
For an additional fee, we can arrange for a taxi either from the Nadi Airport or a Nadi area hotel for the 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive to Rakiraki where Ellington Wharf is located. Please note that the boat from Ellington Wharf must be prearranged due to the tides. As there is a beach landing on our property, loading and
unloading must be done in high tide.
A beach landing means that you will step out into the water from the boat so please plan appropriately.
The boat fee is $50 Fiji for each trip.
Guests should be physically able to climb the 185 small rising stairs up to the guest house.
Our friendly staff can help carry your luggage, and you can tip them for their service.
