« If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway this is the place. The home was remote enough for peace and quiet, but still close to stores and restaurants. Flat Rock park and other hiking trails were within a short drive. Wake up each morning with a view of the lake. Relax at night in front of the electric fireplace. We visited in late December. »

« The property is very spacious and well maintained. We rented the main level, which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was great. The kitchen is huge. The views from the deck are really nice too. For part of the stay we rented a small upstairs apartment for our friends. It was so nice. The owner is very pleasant too. Overall it was an excellent stay and we would definitely stay there again. »

« We cooked the entire time we were there--Thanksgiving dinner, turkey gumbo, grilled fillets....it was wonderful. Thank goodness for 2 refrigerators. We had one of the most memorable times with our young adult children and mother. We did late afternoon walks and saw deer and wild turkeys each time. Built a fire in the outside firepit while hubby grilled steaks. « Loved staying here it was very clean & cozy. The beda slept okay they are a little on the firm side. « Two friends drove from different states and met in the middle...Oxford AL! Enjoyed the house and had plenty of space, enjoyed Hubbards on Main for dinner and a church service nearby. Although we walked a short block to the quaint downtown (truly, so close), we occasionally faced a stray cat or barking dog off leash. Very easy check in and out. Great communication with the host. « First off, the hotel was the only thing nice about the area. Booked a nonsmoking room, and it smelled like an ashtray. For the inconvenience they upgraded us to a better room that was great. Fantastic customer service. Breakfast was pretty good. They have to fix the hot water dispenser though. It takes about 5 minutes to fill a cup of hot water for tea. All in all, if I ever have to go to this area again, I’ll stay here. »
