"This is my second visit to this idyllic spot in Moorea. A family run group of budget rustic cottages on the lagoon next door to the Hilton. The onsite restaurant serves very high quality food and a simple breakfast is included. The hotel sits oceanfront on a beautiful area of the lagoon with rays, sharks and fish cruising by all day. Air conditioned rooms which is rare in Tahiti and kayaks included, good for family on a budget. "

"We loved this ocean cottage on the island of Moorea! Every day we saw 5-6 stingrays swim by, dolphin fins, and loved kayaking out to see the diversity of marine life only 100 yds out. The clarify of water by the reef was AMAZING! What a surprise for a coconut tree to be in the kitchen :-) LOVED the breezes except when neighbors fishing boat was anchored right out in front of cottage -- be prepared for strong fish odors!"

"Every other review is completely accurate. Amazing location, amazing amount of space, fantastic amenities for families (and family time). Our group was two families of four and everyone thought it was a fantastic vacation. We had a small issue one evening with one of the ACs not turning on, I messaged the host and 10 minutes later (late at night) he was there to show us how easy it was to fix (our ignorance...). "

"Nice bungalow just across from the lagoon and by a nice restaurant. Quiet and relaxing. Older property but well equipped and maintained. The only negative is that the bedroom had AC but the temperature was not able to be lowered and it was a little warmer than we wanted. Still I would recommend the place. Good value."

"A lovely airy bungalow overlooking the lagoon with no other houses nearby. The bungalow was very well equipped including a pair of early rising roosters! The track to the house is a bit rough so better in a 4wd than a little rental car but otherwise a peaceful place to stay. Public beaches 10 minutes away in either direction and plenty of places to eat near by."

"Very helpful and responsive via text or email. They were very accommodating towards are large group and let us arrive early which was amazing. Beautiful place right on the ocean and very convenient to grocery, restaurants and ferry. There isn’t much of a beach but easy access into water and very shallow. Lots of water toys for the kids and adults! Like any where on the island expect bugs and ants- but they did a great job of cleaning prior.washer was convenient during our stay! "

"We had a great time. Well equipped with all our needs like a washing machine, coffee machine, excellent kitchen appliances and more. "We had only a short 3 night/4 day stay, but it was more than we imagined it could be. The bungalow was beautifully decorated and had all the conveniences we needed inside. Outside, the very private sandy yard is steps away from the crashing waves of the ocean, just through a gate. Beach shoes are necessary for walking in both directions, as the shore is rocky here. "The property was perfect. The host and entire team were amazing. They made us feel welcome and safe from start to finish. The privacy and views are wonderful. The 3 homes on the property were beautiful. One home has airconditioning. Swimming in the lagoon everyday was the highlight. "Me and my friends stayed here for three nights and I regret not staying here longer. We really felt like we’re on vacation and the view was just magical. Most of the stores and restaurants in Moorea closes before 5pm and it was nice to have a kitchen when you don’t feel like going out, and we would always set up the table at the patio for dinner. "Absolutely stunning. It is rare to find a place that is better than the pictures, but this is! Friendly, helpful staff throughout our stay. The grounds and view of the ocean are beyond words. Breakfast brought to your room including fresh tropical fruit selection is a perfect way to start the day. The steady rhythm of the waves on the edge of the barrier reef lulls you to sleep. Several species of fish congregate right next to the dock in crystal clear water. "

"The staff at Cooks Bay is outstanding. Every person I encountered was helpful and kind. My room was lovely. The beding was comfortably and the AC worked great. The pool bar was enjoyable as was the pool and beach area. I ate at the resturant once for each meal. The Mahi Mahi dinner was delicious. I really loved the sauce on the fish. The continental breakfast was perfect, coffee was strong, and the croissants buttery. Lunch was a huge blue cheese burger, yum. I really enjoyed my stay in Cooks Bay. I rented a scooter on site gor one day and drove around the island, just stunning views! Also, went diving with Moorea Blue Diving, awesome experience. I would definitely recommended Cooks Bay to all of my family and friends. "

"The hotel has bungalows and the restaurant is on the water. It is located directly on the beach in a very nice bay. The restaurant is very good but breakfast is too expensive for the food offered. You need a car to reach it from the airport or the harbor, and to move around the island. No public transportation and taxis are quite expensive."
